We recently completed a successful installation of our secondary glazing in a quaint cottage in Ashbourne. Our client, Chris, was facing heat loss issues, particularly in this beautiful old building nestled in the Derbyshire countryside.
By installing our secondary glazing with a slight upgrade on glass thickness, we've effectively addressed Chris's concerns. Now, he'll save significantly on energy costs by eliminating drafts. We recently undertook a fascinating project involving a school where our client's primary concern was enhancing security. In addition to addressing this need, our secondary glazing solution also provided added benefits of preventing heat loss and reducing noise levels. What made this project particularly interesting was our proposal to work during the night to avoid disruption to the classrooms. Our dedicated secondary installations team efficiently completed the project in just a few evening and night shifts, allowing them to rest during the day while ensuring minimal disturbance to the school's activities. This approach reflects our commitment to meeting client needs while considering the unique requirements of each project.
EAST WEST BUILDING
For this commercial project, we installed secondary glazing using Thermal 6.4 Low E glass, designed to minimise heating bills by improving energy efficiency. The installation was smooth and precise, with no mess or mistakes, ensuring a perfect fit. We carefully removed a subframe on one side to reduce the mullion width for enhanced sightlines. While measuring for this job involved a complex behind-the-scenes process, we enjoyed every challenge and are proud of the flawless result.
ASHBOURNE DRAYCOTT-IN-CLAY
Outside the property stood a charming hedge sculpted into the shape of a teapot—a delightful feature that reflected the unique character of this home. Our client sought secondary glazing to improve energy efficiency and retain warmth, particularly important given the property’s exceptionally high ceilings.
The project was efficiently completed over two visits: one day dedicated to the installation and another for trimming and sealing. By utilising a specialised fitting team and a dedicated trimming team, we ensured a seamless and precise process.
